Bosch is bringing a few updates to its high-end appliances at Design and Construction Week in Las Vegas.
In years past, the German brand has had a big presence at the show, where builders and designers gather to see the latest in home technology and design.
In 2014, Bosch unveiled its upscale Benchmark series of appliances, including slide-in ranges and side-opening wall ovens.
Now, the Benchmark series gets a little bigger—and Bosch’s refrigerator lineup quite literally gets a little smaller.
First up is a 36-inch Bosch Benchmark induction cooktop. Available in Summer 2016, the cooktop takes advantage of all the technological benefits induction cooking has to offer. For instance, its FlexInduction burner adapts its size, shape, and location to the cookware you're using.
Additionally, Bosch has brought its PowerMove technology to the U.S. It automatically sets burners to different temperatures, so users can move a pot or pan across the cooktop for each stage of a recipe, instead of adjusting the temperature of a pan up or down. It’s all controlled by a brand-new 16-inch control panel.
Also new from Bosch is a 24-inch built-in refrigerator that accepts custom panels. It’s designed to fit in a compact apartment or condo kitchen and blend in with custom cabinetry for a seamless look. So far, only a few manufacturers—including Blomberg and Sub-Zero—offer similar options.
