It turns out that the appliances in your kitchen can come in finishes other than white, black, and stainless.
Bucking the trend of boring boxes, Whirlpool debuted a new finish at Design Week in Milan that combines both individuality and neutrality for cooktops and wall ovens. Called Silver Dawn, the golden metallic color is applied to a floating glass exterior, and features stainless accents.
Like its American counterpart, Sunset Bronze, it’s designed to blend with as many kitchen finishes as possible and can easily replace stainless steel for a warmer look.

The convection oven sports automatic cooking modes for selected recipes, including bread and pizza. The full-size cooktop relies on induction, and has a sleek touch-sensitive interface.
Since it’s featured on European appliances, we may not see Silver Dawn in its current form in the U.S. But if you’re interested in exploring similar exteriors, check out new finishes like Whirlpool’s Sunset Bronze, GE’s Slate, and black stainless from LG, Samsung, and KitchenAid.
