In addition to a new color palette and high-end smart appliances, Dacor Appliances has announced a partnership with Le Cordon Bleu cooking school.

The partnership, announced at the 2014 Dwell on Design show, is the first of its kind and both Dacor and Le Cordon Bleu hope it will bring an unprecedented level of exposure to both brands.

Initially, this partnership will have limited effect. Dacor ovens will receive a official seal of approval from Le Codon Bleu, and the company's cooking appliances will be used for demonstrations by the school.

The seal of approval is backed by a series of tests that the storied culinary school ran on a number of high-end cooking appliances. The tests measured for speed, accuracy, heat distribution, and cooking quality. The school determined that Dacor offered the best combination of cooking performance and premier design. As a result of this process, Dacor is now the first and only appliance brand to be recommended by Le Cordon Bleu.
